Parent Liaison

My name is Mrs Shaw and I am Henry Whipple School’s Parent Liaison Worker. My primary role is to support you as parents and families to engage in all aspects of your child’s school life and learning at Henry Whipple. I can also offer support to further your own education and training.

We value the role of our community and endeavour to work with parents and families as much as possible to ensure we have a strong partnership throughout your child’s time at our school.

Some examples of ways I am able to support parents and families are:

Support and advice with attendance/punctuality
Advice and support surrounding your child and school life
Support with understanding the school vision, curriculum and expectations for your child
Getting back into work
Adult learning courses and qualifications

If I am not able to help you directly, I have a range of contacts where I can sign post you to ensure you receive the appropriate support.

If you would like my help in any of the aspects mentioned above, or anything else that you think I could support you with, I am usually available at the end of the day around the school office. Alternatively, you can leave your name and a short message at the office and I will ensure that I contact you as soon as I am available.
