Welcome to our Ambassadors Team page
Our Ambassadors have been chosen to play a key role in reflecting pupil voice to the Senior Leadership Team and impacting upon future events in school.
Our Ambassadors will act as a link between thier Class, their Class Teachers, Senior Leaders and School Governors. Team members have a vital and special role in making sure that all the children in our school are listened to and have a voice about how they want our school to be.They will need to make sure that everybody is doing all that they can to fulfil our school vision, promoting:
‘Believe, Belong, Achieve’
Some things that they will do:
1. Attend meetings – they will need to come to all our meetings once every half term.
2. Bring what they need to the meeting and look after any information they are given.
3. Listen to the views and opinions of all classes and bring ideas that will improve our school.
4. Respect everyone’s ideas and opinions.
5. Give information to all classes on current topics and events they are involved in.
6. Present ideas during assembly with Miss Eaton Mrs Burgess.
Congratulations to our newly elected Ambassadors for the forthcoming academic year. These children have been elected by their peers and identified as role-models who will be a communication link between senior leaders and pupils to work towards school improvements for pupils' learning.
Hello Yellow Day at HWP
For Hello Yellow day at Henry Whipple our Well being leaders and Ambassadors set up a range of things for each class to celebrate. We started off with a Hello Yellow Healthy breakfast which contained yellow items that went down a treat. This was followed by a Hello Yellow photo booth on the playground at playtime. At lunch we had yellow equipment and games on the field for all to enjoy. In the afternoon we all participated in a head space session focused on the Doodle boys work who is working with Marks and Spencer's to support Young Minds Charity to raise funds for the event. To finish off each class took part in an activity which involved team work and communication. It was a successful and bright day to finish off our week.
Our Ambassadors will be going to the Primary Parliament on Wednesday 16th of October to participate in various activities to represent our school. We will update everyone with what we prepared for our presentation after the event.
Primary Parliament
Our Ambassadors visited the council house this week to take part in the Primary Parliament workshops. The theme of the day was "Your voice matters" This covered 4 areas of communication Verbal, Written, Visual and Vox Pod. For each workshop there was a task the children had to complete, such as creating posters, letters, taking part in interviews and performing speech's, which they really enjoyed. Finally they created an Anti Racism drama piece and delivered it to several schools on stage using the four focus areas they had been looking at. It was a great performance and strong message. Well done to the children who attended.
