Maths at Henry Whipple
Our Maths curriculum is based on White Rose Maths long - term plans.
We use White Rose to structure our progression and lesson content on a daily basis.

As part of our daily teaching, we dedicate time to 'Number Sense', with the aim of improving our calculation fluency and understanding. This is put into practice through a combination of 'Fact Fluency', Pattern Spotting, Sorting and Classifying and Number Talk activities.

Year 1 Yearly Plan

In Spring Term, Multiplication and Division was done before money, followed by Fractions. Time and Length & Height have been swapped around based on class needs.
Year 3 Yearly Plan
Mass and Capacity has been moved to Summer 1, swapping with Fractions B.
In the Summer Term, Statistics and Shape have been highlighted as an area of need and will be completed after Money.
