Dates to remember;

Arts and humanities Discovery day at the University of Nottingham.
Monday 8th June
Year 3 and 4 are learning away at Leicester Cathedral and Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre. Don't forget it is an early start. Please be at school for 8am.
Welcome to Year 4!
Hello and welcome to Year 4 Successful Squirrels. Our topic this half term is called 'Treasure'. We will be thinking about what treasure is and what it means to different people. As part of our local history study, we will be finding out about King Richard 111. Our learning away will include a visit to Leicester Cathedral and Bosworth Battlefield.
Last half term we tried a different approach to homework where the children could choose different activities and work at their own pace. This was very popular with year 4 and children made a huge effort to complete a range of tasks, so we have decided to follow this idea.
Our class mission statement is 'If you are walking down the right path and you are prepared to keep walking, you will make progress.'
Please encourage your child to practise their reading at home. A fun way to do this is on 'Reading Eggs'.
Remember 'Mathletics' is a brilliant way to practise times tables. Some children have already achieved their Bronze certificate. To receive this they need to recite all of the times tables up to 12, forwards and backwards. Practise makes perfect!
