It is with deep sadness that we have to inform you of the death of Jennie Cooke - a teacher here at Henry Whipple Primary School.
Jennie has been a much loved, highly respected and valued member of our Henry Whipple teaching team for the past 12 years working previously in the Infant school.
All of the children have been informed and will be supported in every way possible by school staff and wider agencies as appropriate. As a tribute to Jennie the children will be working on art projects during this week which will be displayed on Thursday.
Jennie will be greatly missed by us all and our thoughts are with her family. We ask that you all respect the privacy of Jennie’s family and also the school staff team at this very difficult time with particular regard to comments posted on social media sites.
As a school we have taken the decision to go ahead with all scheduled activities and a remembrance book will be available for parents to comment in on Tuesday and Wednesday before and after school. The remembrance book will be located near reception.
