Music is led on Monday afternoons by our appointed music specialist Mr Burton. All pupils from Year 1-Year 6 will access this specialist training weekly. During these lessons pupils are taught to sing and play musically with confidence.Our music curriculum engages and inspires pupils to develop a love of music and their talents as musicians, increasing their self confidence, creativity and sense of achievement.
Mr Burton will also be providing additional teaching and enrichment for a school choir from September 2017. This will be during lunchtimes on Mondays for30 minutes.

Well done to our Year 5 and 6 members of the choir who performed at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham as part of the Nottingham music hub Christmas in the City.
Carol Concert December 2019
Our whole school participated in our annual carol concert on 16th December lead by Mr Burton.
Piano lessons 2019
Gracie and Vanessa are having tuition with Mr Burton weekly to learn to play the piano.
We cant wait for choir to continue into the new year! We are looking forward to working with one of our parents who works at a care home. She has invited us to sing at the home where she works- we can't wait to organise this!
We will be continuing with choir Monday lunchtimes and music provision Monday afternoons.
We also have 2 children learning to play the piano.

Mr Burton is continuing to teach as our music specialist. Each class will have weekly singing and music lessons on Monday afternoons.
We are pleased to offer two slots of piano tuition with Mr Burton for 15 minutes each also.

We are please to announce our choir will be performing an after school concert on Thursday 28th June. We will also have solo performances from two children playing the piano.
Mr Burton now has 1 slot where he is teaching piano at beginners level. Good Luck Gracie!

To ensure we provide a rich, varied and exciting music curriculum we work with specialist teachers to ensure at least one year group has the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument.
We are currently working with Nottingham Music Hub to provide 1 hour of guitar lessons for years 4 & 5 on alternate weeks. Mr Marshall teaches us all the skills to play the guitar.
Last year we started to provide additional guitar sessions after school with Mr. Bickerstaffe from True Music. This has been very popular and the children are making great progress. We will be continued to provide additional guitar (and possibly ukulele) sessions after school throughout the year2015-2016.
