Curriculum Overveiw 2014

Welcome to our Foundation Unit

Hello again everyone,

Welcome back to the last half term of this year.

Our learning strand this half term is "Treasure" where we will be exploring what treasure is and whether it always has to be gold and shiny? What is your favourite treasure? We will be discovering different treasures through stories and experiences.

As always F2, remember to read your book and dinosaur words every day. I am delighted to see that so many of you have revisited Reading Eggs and Mathletics. I always look forward to giving out certificates.

Please Note: P.E this term is on Tuesday and Thursday. Please ensure that your child has a P.E kit for these days so they don't miss out on opportunities to practise Zumba.

Changes to the school day

Doors open in the morning at 8.50am

The F2 children now have lunch from 12.00pm - 1.00pm
Afternoon children will be leaving at three. Please remember you will not be able to collect F2 children any earlier than 3.10pm

Exciting things this half term:

F2 visiting Green's Windmill on Friday 19th June.

Our Stay & Play event is on Wednesday 1st July  9.00am - 10.00am

There was much excitement this week when Mr Smith found a toad in the cellar. We all looked at it closely observing it's bumpy back before releasing it in our Foundation garden. It soon found a home under the shed!!
